Men and The Gospel: Assembly &Outreach (Event for Men Only)

Description: Men and The Gospel: Assembly & Outreach is a call for young Christian men worldwide to pursue maturity and to take their place as spiritual warriors, contending for the truth biblically, unabashedly, intentionally, and without compromise.

Men and the Gospel is a time of intimate fellowship, where men will have the freedom to express themselves, receive prayer, hear the Word, be refreshed, prepare for and engage in spiritual battle through evangelistic outreach.

Date: Saturday, February 26th, 2011

CHANGE Collegian Network is a ministry that is about putting actions to words and feet to the Great Commission (Mark 16:15). In keeping with this biblical mindset, CCN now presents its first men's only event, entitled Men and The Gospel: Assembly & Outreach, which follows up our recent first annual women's retreat, Issues of the Heart.

What makes this conference unique is the call. Men and The Gospel is a call for young Christian men worldwide to pursue maturity and to take their place as spiritual warriors, contending for the truth biblically, unabashedly, intentionally, and without compromise.

Along with the command to pursue a holy, Christ-centered lifestyle, men will be challenged to become contenders for the faith and not slip into the mindset of today's western culture - a culture that encourages men to keep their faith and convictions to themselves while quietly tolerating every anti-biblical ideology. At the same time, the event is designed to allow men to have the freedom express themselves, talk about real issues that affect men, and receive prayer.

While the Bible and the gospel of Jesus Christ are being challenged with great force both intellectually and physically all over the world, and especially on the college campus, will there be godly men to boldly contend for and proclaim truth? Will God raise up a generation of Daniels, John the Baptists, and Pauls, who are willing to lay down their life for the faith as Christ laid down his life for the church?

Men and The Gospel is an intimate gathering that calls this generation of men to pick up these spiritual weapons and fight like a man.

This past CCN Saturday was blessed! Students from MSU, Ramapo College, Seton Hall University, Bronx Community College, and members from LaGuardia Community College came out for a time of prayer, worship, Word, street evangelism, and lunch fellowship!

Last week, Sister Bamidele taught the Wednesday fellowship. This Thursday, Brother Rhema will be teaching! Come on out!

What's Going On and Off Campus This Week?

First, we'd like to give a praise report! Our event, Confessions of an Ex-devil Worshipper was a wonderful success. We had a great crowd of students attend, two speakers, a long Q and A time, a letter written from David Berkowitz (fka "Son of Sam", now born-again Christian) which was read out loud, raffle give away, and of course the gospel message, which was preached over and over again! We pray that many students repent and put their trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior after hearing the wonderful testimonies about how God can radically change even a devil worshipper and a convicted serial killer!

Description: This is an opportunity for individuals, families (especially home school families), youth, to put the Creation/Gospel message right into thousands of people's hands in about 45 minutes. As people are leaving Madison Square Garden after this event, entitled "Walking with Dinosaurs" by the BBC, simply ask if they would like more info about dinosaurs and give them a tract, DVD, or booklet which very logically presents dinosaurs, creation and the gospel. Most people will take it, sometimes they come up to you asking for it! Those "soldiers" who have gone out in other cities have been exhilarated for so many people in so little time to willingly receive the Gospel tailored to what the people are thinking about right then.

We will then depart from MSU at 12:30pm to do one to one witnessing at the Freehold Raceway Mall in Freehold, NJ from 2pm-5pm. Afterwards, we will gather together for a great time of fellowship and dinner at the food court or a local restaurant near by. Our previous outreach at the Freehold Mall was a blessing! We have also had the joy of sharing the gospel over the mic at a couple of events on campus. Even off campus, we had the joy of ministering to numerous people at our CCN Saturday outreach table at the Freehold Mall.

Now, we are coming together in the Student Center to reach more students with the gospel of Jesus Christ!
