Weclome Back! CCN Spring 2010 is here!

Welcome Back and Praise the Lord Jesus Christ! CHANGE Collegian Network (CCN) Spring 2010 is here!

Get ready a phenomenal semester of worship, prayer, and Bible study fellowships focused on Christian theology (study of God), apologetics (defense of the faith), practicial Christian living, and biblical evangelism (sharing the gospel with others)!

Above is a video for you! There are not many images so that you can truly meditate on the words spoken... May this be our anthem for 2010 and beyong on our campus, MSU.
*
First Fellowship:Tuesday, January 26th @ 2:15PM - 4PM and every Tuesday thereafter!
Location: SC 416 (Student Center)
*
This semester is going to be a semester full of growth. Growth in the Lord does not come easy. It does not come by simply attending a club and fellowshiping with believers, enjoying the company of friends. Growth occurs when a Christian not only learns the Word of God, but acts on what they learned (James 1:22), and experiences trials, tribulations, or persecution that causes the believer to make a choice to give up on the Word of God and abandon their call and purpose or continue on in faith (John 16:33, Romans 5:3-4). This is the type of growth that will occur this semester. It is our prayer that you be faithful to what the Lord has called you to on campus and off.
*
We are here to help encourage, train, teach, and equip you to fulfill your call for Christ on the campus in reaching others for His gospel. We pray that you join us and finish the race you are called to run at MSU (1 Cor. 9:24).
*
Second Fellowship "Prayer and Bible Study": Thursday, January 28th @ 9:30AM - 11AM and every Thursday thereafter!
Location: SC 415 (Student Center)
*Note: We are no longer meeting in the SC Cafeteria

What is A Promise 2 Keep?

A Promise 2 Keep is a free abstinence and restoration rally that is held annually to promote and train young people to keep God's commandment of purity.

Because we live in such an immoral society, the increase sexual perversion has soared to an all time high.  Our youngsters are faced with temptations that the generation right before them were not subject to.  With mainstream media as its vehicle, it's almost impossible to escape the pressures of sex in this generation. But...

God's Holy Word declares, "Put to death, therefore whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry." - Colossians 3:5

God's Holy Word also declares that "Greater is He that is within me than he that is in the world."  - 1 John 4:4

In other words, despite the many temptations our young people are faced with today, It is very possible to stay pure before the Lord until the day of marriage.  But it can only be done through Jesus Christ.

What about those who have already fallen into temptation?  Are they doomed for destruction?  Of course not!  God is not only a God of love and correction, but He's aslo a God of restoration.

One of AP2K's greatest outreaches is to those who need to be restored.

The book of Romans chapter 8 verse 1 reads, "Therefore there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus."  God is not here to condemn us, but to show us a more excellent way!

What Can you expect at AP2K 2010?

Live Music, Fun Fellowship, Great Food, Life Changing Testimonials, an Abstinence Vow Ceremony and More!

How Can you be a part of this life Changing event?

There are several ways you can get involved!

1. Go to the registar page and registar ASAP!  This event is free and space is limited!

2. Tell others about AP2K.  Individuals, youth groups, and singles ministries are all encouraged to attend.

3. Become a sponsor.  Your finacial support is crucial in succesfully putting together an event of this magnitude.  Visit our sponsorship page for more details!

4. PRAY!  More than we need your financial support, we need your prayers.  An event like AP2K goes against the grain of our day and time.  Yet we know as the children of God we must uphold righteousness at all cost.  Please pray for our efforts to win our society back to God's standards of holiness through his love, truth and redemption.

Please Pray for Family Members of our Students

Dear Everyone,

In light of the recent events that have occurred in Haiti, I would ask that you all please keep our student members in prayer as we have students who have lost family members. So far, I know that Monique had family in Haiti, as well as Judline. Judline shared that she has already lost 3 family members and her aunt, who lives with her family in America is on suicide watch. The family has not has much sleep, as many families across the world.

Our hearts go out to them. May the Lord be with us all at this time and provide help. If you wish to donate to a charity, please make sure that you do a background check on the organization.

"Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were." Ps. 39:11

"In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears." Ps. 18:6

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth." Ps. 121:1-2
