What You Missed...
*
CCN @ Montclair State University recently co-hosted an Interfaith Panel and Dinner event with the Muslim Student Association (MSA), consisting of three speakers from different faiths: Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. It was a wonderful turn out! Many students had questions about all three faiths and were very open to listen to all of the speakers. Pastor Andrew Rappaport from the Chinese American Bible church in Freehold, NJ spoke on behalf of Christianity, and did a great job. Upon explaining Christianity, Pastor Andrew also shared the gospel of Jesus Christ to all. Amen!

The Panel

*

*

Once the event ended many students from different backgrounds and faiths continued to have conversations about what they believe. Many of CCN members and other Christians there were able to talk to other individuals about the Good News of Jesus Christ. This event turned out to be an overall success. The Muslim Student Association was even open to having another discussion on varies topics about the Christian and Islam faith.

MESSAGE FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:
"It's amazing. When I look at my journey through life, I often reflect and thank the Lord for my Mentors. Without them, I would not be where I am today. As a young man, I lacked focus and the faith to see God's will and purpose for my life. I was often treated as an outcast. However, the Lord sent great and successful mentors into my life, who took an interest in my personal and professional life. They exposed me to a wealth of knowledge that I would not have received from school or my up bringing. We have transitioned from mentors, to partners, to friends. 'Be not hearers of the Word, but doers also. Faith without works is dead.'

The commitment to help someone become better than yourself is a true meaning of giving.

Fwd: MSU CCN: Awesome PICTURES and Upcoming Events!

[If you cannot view this, please visit our blog at www.changeMSU.blogspot.com]

See you @ The Caf!
*
We had an awesome time this past Tuesday at our kick-off fellowship and saw some new faces! What a blessing! We worshipped the Lord, fellowshipped, met one another, and enjoyed a short message on The Doctrine of Propitiation, a wonderful teaching that helps us understand what the Bible teaches us about Jesus as our sacrfice for sin and wrath-bearer. Because of Christ being our sacrifice for our sins and absorbing the wrath of God to the point where God was pleased (Is. 53:10), we are able to have a personal relationship with God, forgiven for all our sins through faith alone in Jesus Christ (Eph. 2:8-10). Glory to God to providing Jesus as our sacrifice so we can know God now personally and spend eternity with Him in Heaven!

It was such a liberating message of hope for us personally and mankind!

Time to PLAN and PREPARE TO ACT

Expelled Documentary Night: Success!
*
We thoroughly enjoyed our event viewing of the controversial documentary, Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed. Afterward, we engaged the attendees in great conversation and everyone was able to express their thoughts. The conversations were very engaging as we were happy to have members of the philosophy and religion club on campus come out and express their views! The gospel was also shared before the film and literature was available for all to take.
*
Overall we had a great time, learned more about the Intelligent Design/Evolution debate, made some new friends, and best of all, we got to share Christ!
*
*
*
CCN Saturday was a BLAST!
*
Going with our theme of Evolution vs. Intelligent Design, which we have been studying all semester, we had a great special guest speaker at CCN Saturday: Dr. Gerald Lenner of NJ Science Club. He gave a very clear presentation called "I Prefer Experimental Science", which discusses the problems with the theory of evolution.
*
Then, as we always do in CCN Saturday, we enjoyed a time of amazing group prayer, outreach, and fellowship. Check out the pics below and see what the Lord did!
